2025 was a busy year for us at Updated Works. We changed our name, improved our translation process, updated a number of timeless books, improved our book cover design, and more. The Lord has been very good to us! We now have 2x as many people downloading and purchasing books every month compared to one year ago.
Our mission is simple: We want to encourage you to read and understand old books that have shaped history and Christianity. As we look at modern society, there are so many problems that could be avoided if we looked back at history and zoomed out.
2026 Plans
1.) New website coming soon!
We are on the verge of releasing a brand new website. This will look a bit like Netflix (gasp) and make it easy to browse the entire library of updated works. Stay tuned here.
2.) More books!
We will continue to modernize and publish more updated works. We will expand our aperture to cover early American history, the Church Fathers (i.e. - John Chrysostom, Justin Martyr, etc), and of course, a lot more Puritan and Reformed works.
Every new book we release will have a Kindle ebook option for 99 cents (for at least the first 2 months), and you will be the first to find out about them!
3.) A revised email newsletter
Next up, we will be releasing a new weekly email newsletter format. Every week, we will notify you about ALL the updated books we've released, plus a free ebook download (similar to what we've been doing).
4.) Partnering with others doing important work
We aim to sponsor and help others that are aligned with our mission to dig up the past. For example, we have partnered with Canon and Creed, an awesome Youtube channel that digs through Church history through a Protestant lens.
